We know that managing your race car's components can get complex. With countless parts, maintenance schedules, and lap counts to track, finding that one specific component you need to find in a long list can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack.

In fact, one race team experienced this first-hand. They had swapped out a transmission and U-Joint before the feature. On their way home, they started updating their Dashboard and lap counts, but since they replaced the parts, they needed to adjust the laps on those two parts individually (and the maintenance tasks that went with them). Scrolling through numerous components to locate all of the items was more difficult than necessary. 

That’s why we’re introducing a new feature that will streamline your workflow and save you valuable time: Dashboard Search.

Dashboard Search helps you easily locate any component or task

Instead of scrolling through a lengthy list, our new search functionality allows you to instantly locate any component on your dashboard. 

Simply start typing a keyword or part of the component's name into the search bar, and RacePrep will dynamically filter your component cards, displaying only the relevant results. 

This allows for quick updates, and less time searching through a long list.

How to Use Dashboard Search:

1. Navigate to your RacePrep dashboard.
2. Press on the magnifying glass icon to open up the search box above the component card display.
3. Type the name or keyword of the component you're looking for (e.g., "Transmission," "Universal Joint").
4. Watch as RacePrep dynamically filters your results.
5. Tap on the dashboard card to edit it directly or slide it to the left to perform additional actions like delete or move this part to the Garage.

Dashboard Search is available in RacePrep version 1.5 and above. You can update your app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store if it didn’t download automatically to your phone.
